Statement from elected member in last nights press following the rejection of Leeds City Region.

"Last night John Grogan, the Selby Labour MP who has been a cheerleader for eco-towns, said Ministers should acknowledge the 10 shortlisted sites nationally should not now include one in the Leeds City Region".

Check out the press tomorrow, Gascoigne Wood has been selected as the primary location. Although we aren't out of the woods yet, Willow Green is still on the table in case Gascoigne Wood goes pear shaped.
